Sent you an email asking some questions since I haven't heard from you. I went on your web site just now and realize I should have been more patient. It's very difficult not knowing. John just called and told me the latest. It is very discouraging to have to face yet another challenge. Enough Already!!! You can do it, Rick. I know you are trying your best to be positive, but it seems as though the going home date keeps getting farther away. A minute, a day, a week, a month -- each is doable. My prayers are with you every minute, every day. Love, Mom

A pity party is not your style Rick. A week ago a friend of ours was rollerskating at a rink for his daughter's school event. There was 15 minutes to go before the event was to be over. He thought he'd leave the rink & start putting on his shoes. Well just as he was stepping off the rink he fell. No one tripped him, he just fell. He ended up breaking the joint that joins his leg to his foot. He underwent surgery on Halloween, his wife's birthday. They put 3 plates & 18 screws into his ankle to connect his foot back to the leg. So now he's in a cast for 8-10 weeks. Mind you now this man is 56 years old. He probably shouldn't have been on those skates, but he did it for his daughter. If Larry at age 56 can get on skates & talk the next day about needing to get out & mow the lawn then you can get going too. You OLDER guys just need a longer healng time! :) :) Keep holding onto the grab bar! Pam
