I haven/t written for quite a while.........couldn't get your website sometimes....anyway....... I now have a new computer that Sue just installed for me........so feel I can keep in touch though your Mom keeps me informed.........
SO GLAD YOU ARE DOING SO WELL...............I KNOW IT IS A TIME CONSUMER NOW GETTING YOUR STRENGTH BACK, BUT THAT WILL COME. WHAT GREAT NEWS WHEN YOUR MOM WOLD ME WHAT YOUR DOCTOR SAID ABOUT BEING CANCER FREE AT THE MOMENT!! JUST GREAT. I KNOW YOU WILL BE FEELING BETTER SOON. WHEN YOU GET BACK TO OMAHA......LIFE JUST BEGINS AGAIN I WOULD THINK

DALE IS DOING OKAY AND KEEPS HIS SPIRITS UP PRETTY WELL. HE LAMENTS AT WHAT MIGHT BE, BUT ON THE WHOLE THE BOTH OF US ARE COPING AND DOING WHAT WE DO BEST.........ONE DAY AT A TIME. SUE CAME DOWN AND WENT TO LAUGHLIN WITH US. SHE IS SO GOOD WITH HER DAD AND IT REALLY TAKES SOME OF THE STRESS FROM ME WHEN SHE IS WITH US. DALE HAD A GREAT TIME AND HE DID PRETTY WELL UP THERE.... IT IS DIFFICULT MOVING ON A SLIDE BOARD AND GETTING COMFORTABLE IN BED...BUT WE DID IT. HE HAS BEEN SLEEPING ALOT SINCE WE GOT BACK. IT REALLY TIRED HIM, BUT THAT IS PRETTY NORMAL AT HIS AGE.........ENUF OF US..............TAKE CARE AND KNOW THAT WE THINK OF YOU AND PRAY FOR YOU CONTINUALLY. LOVE, CHAR

Hey, I hadn't checked in here in awhile. I'm so glad to hear that the transplant went well. Hopefully, you'll be home soon and be dancing on tables!

Jeff Wilke has donated a couple of successful transplants. On the one year anniversary, the parents of one of the recepients contacted the Red Cross and asked to have Jeff contact them. They had promised their son that when he reached the one year anniversary, they would take a vacation to wherever their donor lived to meet him. That was two years ago. The little boy is still doing great.

Rick,
I saw your mom sunday at my parents playing cards. I had been watching the news to see if Rita hit Houston, but never was mentioned. Your mom told me it didn't hit where you and John were at. Thank God. Keep on hanging in, you are on the upside, it's bad now but it's going to end up great. Boy, just think on your birthday next year you are going to feel younger than 55 or maybe 35. Ha Ha Tell John hello and what a great brother he is.

Hugs and Kisses

I am so happy to have a new report from you, Rick. Even though I have talked to you, it's a sign that you are getting better each day as you said. One day at a time and it adds up to a week, a month, a year, a lifetime == free from cancer. It's happening! Keep giving us updates, please. Love, Mom
